Malta and Gozo
Gozo
Gozo is a small island off Malta in the Mediterranean. These Mediterranean islands have some of the best diving the Med has to offer with a wide selection of shore or boat dives, caves and wrecks galore. Tie this in with fantastic food and nightlife and we are on to a winner.
Accommodation
We use two hotels and one guesthouse in the town, namely:
4 star Hotel Calypso, the larger of the two, with a pool; or3 star Beach View Hotel, that has views of the bay but no swimming poolLantern Guesthouse
Breakfast is included at both hotels but lunch and dinner will be extra. Marselforn has several restaurants in the bay catering to all budgets!
Diving
Gozo is renowned for its spectacular caves, caverns, drop-offs, off-shore reef structures, gullies, chimneys and arches, including the Blue Hole and the Inland Sea. The Mediterranean has clear, warm water but it does not have the extensive fish life of the Red Sea. The beauty of diving in Gozo is the caverns and sunlight coming through as well as the good wreck diving in the area. Each dive site is only 10 - 25 minutes max from Marselforn so there is plenty of time at the end of the day for the all important “R and R” with a lovely Mediterranean feel in the evenings.
We will be diving with Atlantis Diving in Marselforn who we have used and been impressed with in the past. The owner has been diving in the area for 20 years and is an excellent guide and host.
